Desk Lighthouses

The beginnings of an obsession to have my own functional miniature lighthouse; a little reminder of my favorite state of Maine. Left is my own design and pictured Right is a scale replica of Boon Island Light that needs a little more work to function. Both are intended to use readily available USB powered candelabra bulbs.

Boon island Light Scale Model

I overestimated my own 3D modeling skills in the quest for a larger scale replica of Boon Island Light, a haunting and storied lighthouse off the coast of Maine. The end result must have a functional rotating assembly that throws light around a room, powered by USB, and entirely 3D printed.
